Dr Charishma Ratnam
Project leader
Charishma is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT University. Her research primarily focusses on refugee resettlement, home-making, and digital practices. Charishma is particularly interested in developing research approaches including digital, visual, ethnographic, and walking methods with participants to better understand their experiences. She has collaborated and worked with Sri Lankan refugees and asylum seekers for 10 years.

சரிஷ்மா RMIT பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் உலக, நகர மற்றும் சமூக ஆய்வுகள் பள்ளியில் மூத்த ஆராய்ச்சி ஆய்வாளராக பணியாற்றுகிறார். அவரது ஆராய்ச்சி முதன்மையாக அகதிகளின் மறுவாழ்வு, வீடு அமைத்தல் மற்றும் டிஜிட்டல் நடைமுறைகளில் கவனம் செலுத்துகிறது. சரிஷ்மா பங்கேற்பாளர்களின் அனுபவங்களை சிறப்பாக புரிந்துகொள்வதற்காக டிஜிட்டல், காட்சி, இனவரைவியல் மற்றும் நடைபயண முறைகள் உள்ளிட்ட ஆராய்ச்சி அணுகுமுறைகளை உருவாக்குவதில் குறிப்பாக ஆர்வமாக உள்ளார். அவர் 10 ஆண்டுகளாக இலங்கை அகதிகள் மற்றும் அடைக்கலம் நாடுபவர்களுடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.

Febe is based at RMIT University's School of Global, Urban and Social Studies and her research explores social inequalities, climate change, and home making. She is particularly passionate about co-producing knowledge with participants, drawing on creative, visual, and ethnographic methods to understand people's experiences.
